ALiCAT KiTCHENS is more than a place to put together meals, it's a place to have fun, unwind, laugh, talk, and still accomplish something.
Hi, we're ALiCiA and CaTHY, (ALi and CaT) two very blessed and very busy moms who, like many others, have spent a lifetime taking care of our children and family, balancing schedules, volunteering, and working both inside the home and out. We understand the demands that are placed on moms and dads every day, because we live it too . That's why, when we heard about this great concept of a meal assembly kitchen, we couldn't wait to get started.
With kids running in all directions and demanding days on our schedules, by the time we got dinner on the table, there wasn't enough time or energy left to “be a family”. Cooking became a chore, not a pleasure. We started AliCAT KiTCHENS because we wanted to help families create memories of sitting around the table telling stories, laughing about funny things that happened that day, finding ways to tell each other how much we love and appreciate those who are part of our lives. Things that people don't have time to do any more. And, we wanted dinner out to be a treat again, not a way of life.
When we began working on our menus, there were a couple of things that were very important to us, besides the convenience and fun of putting together these dinners. It was important that they tasted good and that they were as nutritious as possible without a lot of preservatives and processed ingredients. And, sacrificing taste for convenience was not an option. It was also important that everyone in the family like the food. And since we have kids ranging in age from 4 to 21, our recipe testing started at home. Last, we wanted you, our guest, to have the satisfaction of putting a home made meal on the table, without a lot of stress or time.
We hope that we have accomplished our goals.
